Khor Al Fakkan
Khor Al Fakkan (or Khor Fakkan) is situated along the Gulf of Oman and is the second-largest town on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates after Fujairah. Khor Fakkan belongs to the ultra-conservative emirate of Sharjah but is actually surrounded by the emirate of Fujairah. Khor Fakkan enjoys healthy tourism thanks to its well-developed white sandy beaches and coral reefs, but tourism has been held back slightly by the ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol. The climate is most comfortable between November and April with daytime temperatures ranging between 18 and 30 degrees. The temperature can reach 40 degrees during the daytime in July and August.

This beach is a beautiful and well-maintained sandy beach with great views of the majestic Al Hajar mountains. The beach has a range of water sports and boat trips available and provides a welcome distraction from the hustle and bustle of Dubai.
Situated right on the beach, you can purchase a day pass at the 4* Oceanic Hotel and enjoy spending some time around the pool or enjoying a snack from the snack bar.
Fujairah Fort has been lovingly restored by the current Sheikh and sits atop a ocky outcrop overlooking Fujairah's old village. It looks especially splendid when flood-lit at night! Althought the fort is officially closed, you're free to walk to expansive grounds and get a true sense of the historic emirate of Fujairah.
